Position Overview:
Martha's Table, in partnership with WPGC's very own Poet Taylor, will be distributing gifts to parents and their families. Volunteer duties may include setting up for the event, greeting and registering families, attending tables and distributing toys. Join us in spreading some cheer to our neighbors this holiday season!
Position Duties and Responsibilities:
Some volunteer tasks may vary and can include the following:
- Sorting and organizing toys by categories
- Supporting the creation and coordination of decorations
- Setting up the room with tables, chairs and other necessary materials
- Distributing toys to families
- Distributing food items
- Supporting general clean up of event.
Experience, Knowledge, and Skills Developed May Include:
- Communication: Sharing information to accurately convey a message to others.
- Organizational skills: Keeping a clean preparation area, staying on assigned tasks, and following instructions.
- Collaboration: Successfully working with a diverse array of individuals, including other volunteers, guests, and staff, towards a common goal.
- Customer service: Serving items to shoppers based on their requests.

Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the assistant may be asked to stand for extended periods, comfortably lift at least 30 lbs., and maintain an active shift.
